We are thrilled to announce our 2016 winner of this honorable award to Danielle Alderman!!
The voting takes place within the club members allowing them to take the time to express their feeling as to why this athlete shall receive the award
Here is what Danielle had to say to her team mates:
Thank you team for the award and the recognition. It's truly appreciated and an incredible honour. I just want to say that I am simply a mirror of the awesome that surrounds me. I am truly grateful to be a small part of a whole team that inspires, motivates, empowers and lifts one another up so unconditionally and so openly no matter what the challenge, no matter what the obstacle, no matter the distance.
To share this award with the past recipients Jp, Laurence, Patricia, Natalie, Amanda and Fab is beyond words moving and a true honour. Thank you.
It is YOU my friends who are truly the awesome and inspiration that drives this team. We couldn't be the awesomeness that is the Canucks without ALL the pieces coming together. Thank you for making us whole. Thank you for making us awesome. Thank you for making us more than a logo or a name.
Thrilled to have David back in 2017 as our Chilly Half and Around the Bay Race Captain!

Thank You David!
Race Captains are available to support interested team members who are looking to keep on top of their plans and accountable in their training. At least once a week, they will be at a team workout and can offer guidance and assist our Head Coach with race advise. Race Captains will host a FB Race Group Page where team members who are participating in similar distance race can discuss training needs, experiences and expectations. Our Head Coach will provide a "suggested" training plan for the distance and the Captain will keep everyone in the loop for upcoming training sessions.

Coach Nancy is honored to be part of Burlington's Cycling Community

For 25 years my family has been part of the Burlington Community. A wonderful place for kids to grow up and also participate in sport teams.
While my kids played hockey, baseball and other organized sports in the evenings, the best time of day for me to get my workout in was in the early morning, at the health club.
Here , I met my good friend JP Charlebois who invited me to go with an organized group for a ride. My first thought was my bike was not new, fast or even in good working conditioning. You see, my first bike was made of old bike parts.
But, JP and his gang were patient with me, helped me use the right gears to climb hills and not drop my chain!
I am thrilled and honored to be featured in this months newsletter posted by our Burlington's Cycling Committee
